Let me answer some of my most-asked questions.

Teeth whitening, even for the most sensitive teeth.

Why Aglow teeth whitening?

I’ve finally found a treatment that works for sensitive teeth.

SunnaSmile products are a registered natural health product. Their systems are safe for anyone who has teeth or digestion sensitivities. I have the most sensitive teeth, and I tested these products on myself first!

It is so quick and so simple.

A 30-minute session will guarantee results and kick-start your teeth whitening plan. We’ll be able to chat about a goal and create a custom plan for touch-ups to get you to your goal.

Prep is so easy. So is maintenance.

SmilePrep toothpaste can help prepare you for your first treatment as well as maintain your results between touch-ups. It also has whitening agents to continue removing stains long after your treatment.

Teeth Whitening FAQ’s

How long does the whitening treatment take?

The professional treatment is two, 15-minute sessions completed back-to-back. The at-home kit takes 20 minutes..

How long will the whitening last on my teeth?

Every client is different. Depending on lifestyle habits (i.e. consuming staining foods, drinking, smoking, etc.), the whiteness of your teeth will decrease quicker versus someone who avoids teeth staining properties

How does the whitening treatment work on sensitive teeth?

Depending on the client, everyone’s teeth are different and subject to sensitivities in different ways. The majority of clients experience little to no sensitivity, but for those who do experience mild discomfort, we can use the red light treatment for 10 minutes to alleviate discomfort. Most discomfort will dissipate on its own after 10 minutes.

Will the professional or at-home kit harm my teeth?

No. The LED light technology is designed to operate at room temperature, meaning that the light operates above the UV spectrum and produces a narrower band of light, opposed to lights used in whitening services at a dental office.

Can I whiten if I have gingivitis? Should I get a cleaning before getting my teeth whitened?

If you have gingivitis or periodontal disease, you should consult your dentist prior to getting the treatment done. We highly recommend to anyone who wants to have the treatment done that they have a cleaning within the past 6 months. We want all of our clients to go into their treatment with good oral health in order to get the most out of their whitening treatment.

Can I whiten during pregnancy?

We recommend all pregnant clients to discuss the treatment with their physician and/or dentist. Each person experiences different hormonal changes to the body, result in different sensitivities to the teeth and mouth.

What is the shelf life for products?

The in-studio kit lasts for 18 months. The at-home kit is good for 24 months.

How does the Aglow treatment compare to the professional treatment at a dentist’s office?

The main ingredients in both treatments are similar but differ in the percentage of peroxide strengths. The dental offices are permitted to use a higher percentage of peroxide in their whitening gel and sometimes use a barrier to protect gums from the peroxide. The cost at a dental office is exponentially more and requires more time to have a procedure done. Aglow uses Sunna Smile, which uses a smaller percentage of peroxide along with LED light technology in order to protect the enamel, require less time, and be affordable.

Is there a client satisfaction guarantee?

If you have been to the dentist within the past 6 months and does not have any pre-existing conditions, such as gingivitis or periodontal disease, and is still experiencing pain during the treatment, then you will not be charged. We offer a client satisfaction guarantee and want everyone to have a positive experience from the treatment.

Who can get a teeth whitening treatment?

You must be 12 years or older. It is recommended that you’ve seen a dentist within the past year and have no oral health issues or existing medical conditions. You may be in your first or second trimester of pregnancy with medical approval from a doctor.

How many shades brighter will my teeth get?

The number one thing to know is that your teeth can not be bleached whiter than their original genetic traits. If you had sparkling white teeth before your lifestyle habits changed their shade, you can expect those results from the treatment.

How often do I need a touch-up treatment?

Each person will have a different treatment plan. We’ll go over how severe your stains are and create a realistic goal to aim for. Depending on the goal, we’ll decide on how frequently to schedule your touch-ups. Typically, the first few touch-ups will be scheduled every 2-3 weeks for a couple months and then every 2-3 months to maintain results.
