You’re Booked!
Here’s all the things you need to know before your tan:

What to expect at a mobile appointment
I’ll arrive at your home or office and set up my mobile tanning tent for application. We’ll set up in an area of choice that has the most natural lighting or lighting in general. All spraying will be done in the tent (and all spraying stays in the tent for no mess).
You’ll dress down to whatever your level of comfort is. I’m comfortable with the level of comfort you’re in. With that being said, nude (women only), swimsuit, and undergarments are acceptable. Complementary nose plugs, eye wink-ease, disposable bras and thongs are provided by me if you wish to use them.
Once you’re ready, I will have you apply an organic barrier cream on your hands, tops of hands, tops of feet, knees, elbows, ankles, and any other areas with particularly dry skin. This will prevent these areas from getting unwanted accumulation of solution. Then, it’s time to spray! I’ll instruct you on which direction to move. I’ll powder you dry, wipe down your fingers, hands, toes, and feet to ensure there is no unwanted solution in those areas.
You’re now dry and ready to put on dark and loose clothing. I encourage you to not put on a bra for the first hour or more after your spray tan to avoid lines. Please make sure to read up on my post-care information card (provided at your appointment or also found here) to ensure optimal tan life and fading. . Remainder of payment will be due in the form of cash or card.
In-studio appointment
You’ll arrive at 277 E Carmel Dr Carmel IN 46032 Suite A. I’m located Inside “ INJECTING INDY” . You’ll enter the main door, head down the hall all the way until the end. You’ll see the restroom and turn right to my door. If my door is closed there is a spray tan in session, please head back to the lobby to wait.

KIDS ARE WELCOME!
Chance of rain?
If there is a chance of rain, please bring an umbrella ( I will also have one), loose pants, long sleeves, and closed-toed shoes so the rain can not get to your skin or spray tan. Please limit any errands after your spray tan to minimize the chance of ruining your tan with the rain/water.
Preparing for your tan
Moisturize your skin very well the few days before your tan. Exfoliating & shave 48 hours prior to your appointment. Moisturize after exfoliating & after your next shower before the appointment (night before) don’t put any lotions or product on the skin. Please exfoliate with a mitt or brush, not just your loofah or a gentle exfoliating scrub that doesn’t contain coconut oils.
WAXING: Brazillian or facial waxing should be 24-48 hrs before. Body waxing (arms/legs) should be done 3+ days before your appointment to allow time for your skin to heal.
Manicures, pedicures, facials, and any other similar service should be done at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. But if needed, Mani’s & pedi’s can be the same day as tan (before) but be sure to wipe off any lotions or oils. You can only get a color change if you have a pedicure appointment after your spray tan. Wash your hair the day before your tan rather than the morning of to avoid any conditioner residue on the body. If possible, use sulfate-free shampoo. Do not use any Dove products or products with coconut oils. I use Method, Native or Hempz body wash (avail at appt) & it works great.
BRIDES: do not get your first-ever facial before your wedding day, it may cause unwanted breakouts.
Summer Tips
With these hot temps, it's smart to run all your errands before your spray tan appointment. That way, you won't risk sweating your fresh glow off while it's developing! Or book a morning or evening in-studio appointment so it's cooler when you head out. Or, even better, go for a mobile appointment and avoid leaving the house altogether! If you have leather car seats, definitely throw a towel down. You don't want your legs sticking (and sweating!) to the seats, which can totally mess with your tan.
Sunburns/tan lines
We highly recommend not spray tanning over fresh sunburns. Why? Because peeling skin will absolutely take your tan with it, leaving you super splotchy. If you've got a special event coming up and a recent sunburn (but no peeling yet!), here's the game plan: lightly exfoliate those burned areas every day for 3-4 days before your tan, and moisturize like crazy, multiple times a day. This is your best shot at preventing peels and an uneven tan.
As for tan lines, we'll do our absolute best to blend them out, but remember, it's not a guaranteed vanish! The bigger the tan line, the easier it is for us to work our magic. If your tan lines are fresh, you'll want to lightly exfoliate those areas daily for 3-4 days beforehand and moisturize a ton, just like with sunburns, to help get them ready for an even application.
Swimming with your spray tan.
Here's how to protect your spray tan from chlorine or saltwater:👙💦
Lotion Up in the AM: Apply lotion first thing in the morning. This creates a barrier that helps shield your tan from sweat or water trying to break it down throughout the day.
Quick Rinse Post-Swim: After you swim, rinse yourself off right away. Don't let that chlorine or saltwater just sit on your skin and keep munching away at your tan.
Lotion Again After Your Shower: Once you've had your full, soapy shower at night, apply lotion again.
Boost with Tanning Water: To keep that color vibrant and extend its life, apply our tanning water every other day. It's like a gradual refresh for your tan! shop here or grab our tanning water at your appointment.
The day of your tan
Before your tan, your skin needs to be a totally clean slate! That means no lotions, no deodorant, and no makeup on your skin. Seriously, any products can mess with how your tan develops, and we want it to be flawless!
If you've got anything on your skin, give yourself a quick rinse with warm (not hot!) water at least 60-90 minutes before your appointment. But honestly, the dream scenario is to shower the night before and skip the lotion altogether. This really helps your skin soak up that beautiful tanning solution evenly.
Right After Your Tan
Once your tan is on, it's time to chill! Pop on some dark, loose-fitting clothes – anything tight can rub and mess with your fresh tan. For 24 hours, you'll want to skip the workouts and sweating, and keep your skin free of any products until after your first shower.
We typically recommend waiting 8-12 hours before your tan comes into contact with any water or moisture. I'll give you the exact timing based on the solution we use (it could be as quick as 1-6 hours for some!).
When it's time for that first rinse, it's a warm water RINSE ONLY. Just let the water run over your body, gently gliding your hands over your skin to make sure all that cosmetic bronzer washes away evenly. Keep rinsing until the water runs clear – easy peasy! You can use a little soap for your armpits and private areas if needed, but otherwise, stick to water. And remember to PAT DRY ONLY with your towel! No rubbing!
Keeping That Glow
After 24 hours, you're good to go for a full shower with soap! Once you're out, it's super important to moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! Just a heads-up: skip any highly scented lotions right after your tan. They can dry out your skin and make your gorgeous tan look blotchy.
For the best, long-lasting glow, use an approved sunless body wash (method, native, hempz, anything with no coconut oils or sulfates) for your showers and follow up with an approved moisturizer (Hempz, Aveeno, Cetaphil). We love Hempz lotion here – it's amazing for keeping your tan looking fresh & lasting long! You can grab some at your appointment.
Maintaining your tan
Shower with approved products only. ( do not use coconut oil or oily products) When you shave for the first time, 24-48 hours after your tan, don’t press down hard and use hair conditioner instead of soap or shave cream/gel. Moisturize twice daily with sunless-approved moisturizer. Grab tanning water at your appointment to refresh the tan on your face/neck/chest/body as it starts to fade to extend the life of it.
